After breakfast, your guide will meet you for a quick briefing, and then it's the drive south to Tarangire. Fun fact: the park takes its name from the Tarangire River and from the Mbugwe people who live nearby, with Tara meaning river and Ngire meaning warthog. In the dry months, the river draws the densest elephant population in northern Tanzania, and the baobabs make it the most distinctive-looking park on the circuit.
