A gentler day than a national park, and a good one if you have a spare morning in Arusha or you are travelling with children. You will drive out through the foothills of Kilimanjaro and Meru, past villages and farmland, to the Serval Wildlife Sanctuary, where the work is protecting and rehabilitating animals. Lions, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, elands and several kinds of monkey live there. You will get closer than you would in a park, safely, and hear why each animal arrived. Lunch is at the sanctuary, with the mountains behind it, and we will stop for photographs on the drive back.

About the price

US$260 per person, as published on our Safarigo listing in October 2026, as at 27 August 2026. Most of that goes on park and conservation fees, which the authorities set, not us. We'll confirm the exact figure in writing when you get in touch, so please don't treat this page as a quotation.
