If you have a short window and you want to spend it in the Serengeti rather than driving to it, fly. You'll leave Arusha by light aircraft, land on the plains, and stay in the same lodge for three nights.
Nothing about the days is fixed. Your guide will talk through timings with you each evening: an early drive and a slow afternoon, or a full day out with a picnic, whatever suits the two of you. Beer and wine are included with meals.
Is this trip for you?
Honeymooners, and anyone with four days who would rather have three nights in one good place than three nights in three different ones. It pairs naturally with Zanzibar afterwards.
This is a starting point, not a fixed departure. You can change the route, the pace, the camps and the length, and most people do.

Day by day
Your 4 days, one at a time
We'll meet you in Arusha and take you to the airport for the flight to the Serengeti. What would have been a long day on the road becomes a couple of hours, most of it with a view.
From the airstrip it's straight into the park. Your guide will talk through the days with you: how early you want to start, how long you want to stay out, whether you'd rather have a long lunch than an extra drive.
A full day of game driving with a picnic lunch, so nothing interrupts the good hours. Lion, elephant and buffalo are all likely, and the plains tend to produce something nobody expected.
Back to the same lodge in the afternoon, which is the quiet luxury of staying put: you unpack once.
Another day shaped entirely around what you felt like after yesterday. A morning drive, lunch and a slow afternoon, then out again at four. Or one long day with a picnic and no clock at all.
We'd suggest one more very early start: the animals are at their most active and the sunrise is worth the alarm. Back for a late breakfast, then to the airstrip for the flight to Arusha, or onwards to Zanzibar if that's the plan.
If you'd rather have a slow last morning at the lodge instead, that's a perfectly good answer too.
So, what does it cost? We price every safari individually, because it really
depends on when you travel, which camps you pick and how many of you there
are. The same route in February and in August won't cost the same.
Tell us your dates and roughly what you have in mind, and we'll send you a
full, itemised quote. Not a vague range, a real quote.
Per person, based on two of you travelling together. The per-person price comes down in a bigger group, and we confirm your exact figure in writing when we quote. Rates as published for 16 January 2026 to 31 January 2029.
